Stargazing in Pembrokeshire: Dark Skies, Starry Nights & Northern Lights

Here, ancient bluebell-carpeted woodland, rich with gnarled oaks and birdsong, winds down to Abermawr, a sweeping, rugged beach where an 8,000-year-old submerged forest is revealed at low tide. In summer, acrobatic sand martins dart and dive around the earthen cliffs, while in autumn, young grey seals shelter in the bay, their curious faces bobbing in the Atlantic swells.
Preseli Venture is the perfect base from which to explore Pembrokeshire’s cinematic landscapes and storied cultural heritage, from ancient cathedrals and weathered castles to standing stones, slate quarry pools, and working woollen mills. This is a land steeped in myth, magic, and legend; a muse for poets and painters, once walked by pilgrims, merchants, smugglers, and pirates alike. Today, those same wild horizons invite adventure in every form: sea kayaking through echoing caves, surfing rolling beach breaks, climbing coastal crags, or biking across windswept hillscapes. Your adventure begins the moment you arrive.
