Bookable Adventure Activities

Pembrokeshire is widely recognised as the birthplace of coasteering, developed here in the 1980s. We were among the very first providers to offer this now world-renowned activity, blending swimming, scrambling, and cliff-jumping along the rugged coastline.

Today, as an established activity reseller, we continue to offer a range of professionally guided, low-impact adventure activities allowing visitors to experience the coastline, sea, and landscapes in an immersive and unforgettable way. Bespoke itineraries can be curated on request from Preseli Venture’s knowledgeable team.

Choose from sea kayaking, coasteering, surfing, SUP-boarding, climbing, and boat trips to offshore islands, or unwind with wild swimming, yoga, wildlife watching, and beach saunas. Inland, explore the Preseli Hills by e-bike or canoe the estuary.

Many of our activities are available at commissionable prices (10%) for travel trade agents. Get in touch to find out more and claim your discount code.

Location Highlights

Staying at Preseli Venture places visitors at the heart of North Pembrokeshire’s most compelling landscapes, heritage sites, and coastal experiences — many of which are walkable, a short drive away, or bookable directly through the Preseli Venture website. Nearby highlights include the iconic Melin Tregwynt Woollen Mill, just a 10-minute drive or scenic coastal walk away, where traditional Welsh weaves are produced alongside a charming brookside café. A short way along the coast path, the picturesque harbour village of Abercastle is home to the ancient Carreg Samson burial chamber, while Strumble Head Lighthouse provides dramatic coastal scenery and frequent sightings of Atlantic grey seals, dolphins and porpoises.

The surrounding area is rich in both history and culture, from Carregwastad Point — site of the last invasion of Britain in 1797 — to the vibrant town of Fishguard, known for its heritage trail, independent shops, and lively food and music scene. Just a short drive away lies St David’s, the UK’s smallest city, home to its magnificent medieval cathedral and Bishop’s palace, and gateway to unforgettable wildlife Boat Trips around Ramsey Island. Astronomy enthusiasts will find the night skies dazzling at Preseli Venture, as we’re in an official Dark Skies zone. Together, these experiences create a diverse and immersive coastal destination for visitors seeking nature, history, and authentic Welsh character.
