The main entrance to Loom Cottage is via double sliding glass doors, offering a maximum opening width of 104cm. The entrance is accessed by a gently sloping wooden ramp and leads directly into the open-plan living and kitchen area.

The door is operated with a key (provided in a coded key safe on the exterior wall) and features a thumb-turn lever for easy opening from the inside.
