Family sea kayaking in Pembrokeshire

Looking for a family sea kayaking holiday? We offer half days family sea kayaking trips through to 5 day holidays, based on the beautiful Pembrokeshire national park coastline in Wales.

We’ve been offering sea kayaking trips and holidays for over 20 years, and more recently we’ve had lots of families wanting to try sea kayaking – so we’ve put together family versions of our popular introductory and intermediate sea kayaking courses and holidays, all designed with the family in mind.

You don’t need to have lots of experience, and none at all is required for the family adventure day or the Family At Sea with the Seals break. You’ll just need to come prepared with a reasonable degree of fitness, some enthusiasm and a willingness to give sea kayaking a go!

These trips run with a maximum of 10 sea kayakers at a time, who will be accompanied by our qualified, experienced sea kayak guides.

What’s special about sea kayaking, and what sea kayaking trips do you provide?

The sea kayak really is an incredible way to explore the coastline: low impact, quiet and an amazing way to see wildlife. Our family sea kayaking adventures are a great way to introduce your family to the delights of sea kayaking in Pembrokeshire, Wales.

Out trips suit total beginners through to those who already have some paddling experience. If your family has never kayaked before, they might benefit from a half day try out session on a family adventure day.  With just a little experience, your family would most likely be ready for a 2 day sea kayaking experience, our Family At Sea with the Seals sea kayaking break includes 2 full days sea kayaking plus comfy family friendly eco lodge accommodation and all meals.

If you and your family have been well and truly bitten by the sea kayaking bug then you’ll love our Family Sea Kayaking Odyssey holiday, which includes 4 half days and one day sea kayaking, eco lodge accommodation, all meals, and the chance to fish for your own supper and spend the night under the stars.

What do I need to wear and what equipment will you supply?

We’ll provide you with a kayaking ‘long john wetsuit’ underneath which you’ll wear your own bathing suit and a long  fleece sweater or thermal top. We’ll supply kayak jackets, buoyancy aids and helmets that’ll make sure that you are warm, safely floaty and well protected. You wear your own trainers on your feet and you’re welcome to borrow a pair of wetsuit booties to keep your toes toasty warm! For the Pembrokeshire Sea Kayak Odyssey you’ll need to provide your own camping equipment for your night under the stars, or you’ll be able to hire some from us.
