What to Bring

For the activities:

  • A towel or changing robe.
  • Sandals or flip flops are useful to put on after the activities.
  • Some warm layers to put on after activities are advisable to help you warm up after being in the sea.
  • Please bring a water bottle, we do not sell bottled water.
  • If you don’t have contact lenses, you can wear your glasses during the activities. It’s a good idea to buy a retaining strap for your glasses before you come.
  • For all water activities you will need bathers (swimming costume, bikini, swimming shorts/ trunks) to wear underneath the wetsuits which we provide. To make changing quicker and easier, please come wearing your bathers underneath your clothes and bring underwear to put on afterwards.
  • For water activities, please do not bring a camera or phone unless you have waterproof casing with a wrist strap or float. We take lots of pictures on our waterproof cameras which are accessible after the trip, so you can focus on the experience, not taking photos.
  • For kayaking you will be wearing a long-john style (sleeveless) wetsuit so you will need a synthetic short/long sleeved T-shirt, or lightweight thermal top (ideally not cotton as it gets heavy when wet). On chillier days, you may like to bring a fleece. We provide a kayaking cagoule to go on top (you may not want this on hot summer days). We provide wetsuit boots.
  • For full days out kayaking, please bring a plastic box for your picnic food. If you haven’t booked a packed lunch from us, you will need to make your own.
  • For coasteering, you will need a pair of old trainers (sneakers) that will get wet but not ruined. Please bring a plastic bag to take your wet shoes home in. If you don’t have any trainers, don’t worry, we have lots of spare pairs in most sizes here.
  • For hiking, you will need good sturdy walking shoes or walking boots, or in the summer trainers will be fine for walking the coast path. Lightweight waterproofs are essential as rain can come in quickly off the coast!
  • For yoga and fitness classes, bring clothes you can comfortably move and stretch in and trainers. We provide yoga mats, but you may bring your own if you have one.
  • For horse-riding, hats are provided but you will need to wear shoes, boots or wellingtons with a heel for the stirrups (can be provided if necessary). Bring comfy stretchy trousers or leggings.
  • For the boat trip, you will need a waterproof / windproof jacket.

For the lodge:

  • Please bring a water bottle as we do not sell plastic water bottles at the lodge. We do have aluminium water bottles for sale if you forget!
  • You will need another towel for the lodge (one for activities, one for the lodge).
  • You may like to bring some comfy shoes or slippers to wear around the lodge.
  • Please do not bring your own alcohol as we have a well stocked licensed bar with bar staff.
  • You may like to bring 50p coins for the pool table.
