Sample Itinerary for your holiday: programme may change according to tides and swell
Sunday Arrive in time for a home cooked evening meal, served at 7.00pm, settle in and relax at the lodge. You’re welcome to arrive after 5.00pm and take a beautiful woodland walk to our unspoilt beach.
Monday Jump straight into the fun and exhilaration on a half day coasteering, the ultimate coastal adventure – climb, swim and jump into a whole new world. Sea caves and swirling ocean swells combine to produce a truly wild environment. Watch out, it’s addictive! In the afternoon take a fantastic boat trip around Ramsey island RSPB to enjoy the seals and sea birds and the tidal rapids of Ramsey sound. You’ll need to provide your own transport to/from the boat trip, or take a taxi, and the boat trip is included in the holiday cost.
Tuesday Today is your expedition day, a full day sea kayaking along the Pembrokeshire coastline, a place where rocks, caves, seals, birds, waves, surf, beaches, harbours and much more make our coast a real sea kayaker’s paradise. Hone your sea kayaking skills, with the emphasis on exploration and wildlife watching along this inspirational coastline. Picnic lunch on a deserted beach or inaccessible (apart from by kayak) rocky nook!
Wednesday Another busy day today, in the morning you’ll take a half day surfing on one of our Pembrokeshire beach breaks, basing yourself at a beautiful beach, followed by lunch at the lodge. For the afternoon you have a choice: either a wonderful self guided coastal walk, or an exciting kite boarding session!
Coastal Walk: have the world renowned Pembrokeshire National Park Coastal Path on the very western tip of Europe right on our doorstep. Unwind amidst the spectacular cliff top scenery and chill out amongst the wild flowers – it’s the perfect accompaniment to the adrenalin charged adventure activities. We drop you off at a choice of points along the coast and you’ll finish up at our local beach, lovely!
Kite boarding: we’ve teamed up with a local specialist to offer a half day on the wonderful sandy expanse of Newgale beach. Kiteboarding is lots of fun but VERY weather dependent so we don’t charge you in advance, and payment of £45 can be made to the kiteboarding company on the day. You’ll need to provide your own transport.
Thursday Coasteering, we’ll choose another of our awesome venues along the North Pembrokeshire coastline. Whether the sea is flat calm and reflecting the suns rays like a mirror, or raging and boiling as the waves pound the cliffs base, a superb coasteer can be guaranteed, with the emphasis on cliff jumping, wave dodging and rock traversing shifting according to the conditions; no two coasteers are ever the same. Hot home cooked lunch at the lodge, followed by a second amazing surf lesson where standing up can be almost guaranteed! In tumbling surf you laugh at the sky, so much fun and you learn a new skill in beautiful surroundings.
Friday We’ve partnered up with our local riding stables, Llanwnda stables, to offer an hour and a half horse ride where you can enjoy inspirational views of the Strumble Head peninsula from horseback. If horse riding doesn’t rock your boat – you’re welcome to opt into an alternative activity so do just let us know in advance. Lunch at the lodge, and depart.
NB We are sorry but we are unable to offer transport to/from the horse-riding venue, so you’ll need to drive yourself or take a taxi. The horse-riding is included in the holiday cost.
This is an outline itinerary, and is therefore subject to change for exactly when each activity will take place. This can vary according to your own preferences, and to weather and tides on that particular week. Please contact us if you have any questions or requests.

Frequently asked questions
What can we do in the evenings?
After supper you’ll be free to make the most of our awesome location, a walk through the bluebell woods to the beach comes highly recommended, and we’ll have a bonfire under the stars for you on one of the evenings. The Preseli Venture eco lodge is a great place to hang out, we have a fully licensed bar and free wireless broadband, plenty of games, and a rather fetching pool table with purple baize, as well as table football! If you want to sample the local, small and friendly hill top village of Mathry, it’s just a short walk from the lodge and will give you a real taste of rural Welsh life. If you’d like to take part in something a little more active we can recommend an evening yoga class run by a local practitioner or for the ultimate relaxation how about a massage? Contact us for further details.
What are the ages of people in my group?
We don’t take ages on booking but typically attract a wide range from people in their twenties to people in their sixties.
Are there any participant restrictions?
We welcome adults of 18 years and over. The activities are open to everyone, you don’t need to have previous experience and you don’t need to be particularly outdoorsy, just come equipped with a go for it attitude and a sense of fun! Participants should have a reasonable general level of health, be able to put a wet suit on and be comfortable in the water (doggy paddle is fine!).
