Frequently Asked Questions

What is there to do in the evenings?

After supper you’ll be free to make the most of our awesome location, a walk through the bluebell woods to the beach comes highly recommended, and we’ll have a bonfire under the stars for you on one of the evenings. The Preseli Venture eco lodge has a relaxed social vibe and is a great place to hang out, we have a fully licensed bar and free wireless broadband, plenty of games, and a rather fetching pool table with purple baize, as well as table football! If you want to sample the local, small and friendly hill top village of Mathry, it’s just a short walk from the lodge and will give you a real taste of rural Welsh life. We can recommend an evening yoga class run by a local practitioner or a massage at our local spa if you would prefer some wind-down relaxation time in the evenings.

Do you have any participant restrictions?

The activities are open to everyone, you don’t need to have previous experience and you don’t need to be sport or outdoorsy, just come equipped with a ‘go for it’ attitude and a sense of fun! Participants should be able to put on a wet suit and be comfortable in the water. No swimming ability is required as the floatation jackets will keep you afloat!

What are the ages of people in my group?

We don’t ask for ages on booking but typically attract a wide range from people in their twenties to people in their sixties. We welcome adults of 18 years and over of all genders and orientations.

What if i can’t make either of the dates listed?

Solo-travellers are welcome on ALL our adult adventure weekends and holidays, not just our singles holiday! If you can’t make it on the dates we specifiy for the singles holiday, please do feel welcome to visit on other dates.

Where will our adventures take place?

We work closely with the National Trust and have access to a range of beautiful un-spoilt National Trust locations on the North Pembrokeshire coast. The location is always chosen on the day so that we can select the most suitable place taking into account the weather, tides and swell.

How many people will be in an adventure group?

We take up to 12 adventurers in one group with two of our highly qualified instructors.

Is there flexibility in the activities that I will take part in?

We’ve hand picked the adventures and activities on this packaged-up programme so that our guests can sample the very best experiences of this wonderful coastline, but if there’s one activity you’re really not keen on trying, let us know and we’ll do our best to swap it for an alternative (depending on availability).

How do i get to the horse riding and boat trip if i am travelling by train?

Most of the time, those who did not come by car can share a ride with someone who did come by car. We recommend car sharing as the best and most green solution! However if you’d prefer to book a taxi to the venues, we can help you by giving details of timings and the number of a local taxi company.
