Abermawr has its place in history too. It was once the preferred landing point for Isambard Kingdom Brunel’s transatlantic telegraph cable, and the valley’s embankments, paths, and streams were originally crafted in the 19th century as part of the Tregwynt Estate’s manor grounds. Today, they form a charming and quiet route to the beach.
