1. Is all food included? We serve you delicious, healthy, home-cooked food in generous quantities, with yummy vegetarian options. Please indicate on the booking form if you require vegetarian meals and also tell us any food allergies we need to know about. We're always told it's the best food you'll eat all semester! All meals Friday dinner to Sunday lunch are included. Top
2. Do I get dinner on the Friday night? Dinner on Friday evening is served from 7.00pm-8.30pm. If you are arriving later than 8.30pm, then we suggest you grab a snack on the way here as our kitchen closes at 8.30pm. After that time we are sorry, but normally there will be no food provided, but the bar will still be open! Top
3. Where will I sleep? You sleep in comfortable shared bedrooms and all beds are made up with sheets and duvets and spare blankets. Rooming is either groups of friends together, or if you don't know people, sharing with the same sex. Please state your rooming requirements on the booking form and we will do our best to please you. We have a couple of rooms for two people, so if you are with your partner then you can request one of these. Top
4. Will I be warm enough? The Lodge has full central heating throughout and wood-burning stoves, which we keep stocked up in the evenings, so you can get all warm and toasty, open a bottle of wine...and relax! Top
5. Is the equipment provided? All the specialist equipment you need is provided, including wet-suits and floatation jackets for the water activities. We have high quality mountain bikes. We do not provide footwear for any of the activities, so you must bring your own sneakers or tennis shoes which you are happy to wear for the water-sports; they will get wet but not ruined. Open-toed sandals are not suitable for kayaking and coasteering. Please remember to bring other shoes or sneakers or light weight boots for hiking and to wear in the evenings.

6. Will I be safe? Your safety is of the utmost importance to us and we have a solid and safe track record since starting up in 1988. We have up-to-date safety equipment and written operating procedures for all our activities. Our instructors are professionals and are qualified with the current National Governing Body awards. All have first aid and life-saving qualifications. We have annual inspections by the Welsh Canoeing Association for the kayaking, and by the Wales Tourist Board Accreditation Scheme for Activity Providers for all the other activities and our accommodation. Upon your arrival you will be asked to complete a medical declaration form, which will be used to inform relevant staff of your medical needs during your stay with us.
However please remember that there is always a risk involved in outdoor activities. High energy, natural environments such as the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park are constantly changing; wind, rain, surf, ocean waves, gravity, wildlife and multi-tactile surfaces combine to produce an environment from which risk can never be completely eliminated. The exhilaration and adventure of exploring such environments is what Preseli Venture is all about, and we believe Adventure, in all its diverse forms, is an essential component of many people's lives. 7. What do I need to bring? A couple of towels, bathing suit, sneakers or tennis shoes to get wet for the water activities, other shoes to stay dry, plastic bag to take home wet shoes! Plenty of changes of clothes and warm layers, long sleeve T shirt or sweatshirt to wear under the wet-suit for kayaking, outdoor jacket if you have one. Bring some cash for the bar - we are not near a cash machine! Top
8. Do you have hot showers? We have great hot showers...just the thing to soothe aching muscles after a day out enjoying yourself in, by, or on the Atlantic Ocean! Top
9. SAMPLE PROGRAMME Friday Night Meet us at the train station at 6.40pm for the short drive back to the lodge. Settle in to rooms, explore the lodge and then a delicious home cooked meal - you wont have eaten this well in a while! You can follow this with drinks at our private Preseli Venture bar (a place where 'time' is never called!) and maybe enjoy a beautiful Pembrokeshire sunset from our seated garden patio. Later you might like to take a moonlit walk to our local beach; stunning, wild and sheltered - a place where seals sometimes sleep.
Saturday Continental Breakfast and then on to your first thrilling activity. You'll be slipping into a very attractive wet-suit (!) if you're coasteering - swimming and climbing the edges of the Atlantic Ocean and then throwing yourself off some cliffs just for good measure!
Then back to the lodge for a wholesome and warming lunch of hot home-made soup and warm fresh bread, time to chill a little before you are off out into this coastal National Park for your second round with nature, maybe in a Kayak; pootling in and out of deserted and idyllic bays and echoing caves, or riding the ocean swells between towering rocks.
Tonight, after a hot shower and a hearty dinner back at the lodge and an evening spent sampling the local delights in the Preseli Venture bar or around a campfire, frolicking in the woods, swimming on the beach, or up the road at our local pub 'The Farmers Arms' sharing your stories of daring do and adventure:you are guaranteed that well-known 'sleep of the deep!'
Sunday Rub the sleep from your eyes, take your time over breakfast and then we'll take you out for a replenishing and visually stunning morning, enjoying the best views of Pembrokeshire from the famous 'Pembrokeshire Coast Path'. Take a long or short walk depending on your energy levels, whatever you choose you are guaranteed the views of a lifetime. Chill out amongst the wild flowers, frolic on secluded beaches, and let the fresh breeze purge your lungs of city air!
Sunday afternoon lunch is on us, and then with a teary eye and feeling bodily and spiritually refreshed and renewed you pack your bags, and we transport you back to the station for the 3.20pm train.
