We aim to give students and staff the opportunity to participate in exciting and challenging activities in a safe and secure environment. We offer a broad range of high quality activities, excellent staff, comfortable accommodation, superb food and a warm welcome. We are one of the few residential centres that can offer sole occupancy at our outdoor activity centre, which means you’ll have exclusive use of all lodge facilities, and the undivided attention of our staff team!

Preseli Venture is set up as a small centre enabling us to provide a very personal experience. This personal approach ensures the maximum development opportunities for each pupil, and allows our staff team to get to know and create that important bond. This ethos leads to a relaxed atmosphere that benefits everyone and makes it possible for us to provide consistent quality and value for money.

Preseli Venture is an AALA licensed activity centre, licensed to provide surfing, coasteering and kayaking.

Our staff are qualified, professional and friendly, with plenty of relevant experience of working with school groups ranging from KS2 through to adults. They are Pembrokeshire based and have fantastic local knowledge.

Planning your school or college adventure trip

Our highly experienced team will support and assist you through the entire process, making your trip run easily and smoothly throughout. This includes your initial enquiry, the design of your programme, your site inspection and all health and safety paperwork including risk assessments.

If you require the chance to recce our facilities with a view to making a booking, you’re very welcome to come along and sample our lodge and activities free of charge.

Customising your school’s programme

We’ve put together a suggested programme based on our experience of what works well for most school groups.  However, we’re more than happy to customise the programme according to your groups preferences, aims and objectives, please do contact us with any preferences or requirements.

PSV qualified drivers and transport for the activities

Your school adventure trip at Preseli Venture includes all of your transport once you’re with us – we have 2 minibuses and we fulfil all the requirements to operate them safely and legally. We hold a PSV (Public Service Vehicle operator’s license) and our drivers are PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle) qualified. As well as our daily safety checks, the minibuses are inspected by a DOT garage every 8 weeks.

We work with a number of top notch adventure equipment suppliers to make sure that the adventure equipment provided for your outdoor activities is top of the range.  We really look after our kit, we renew and replenish our stocks regularly, and have a careful maintenance regime that ensured that all of the equipment is in good condition and ensured that it is completely fit for purpose for your stay with us.

Real adventures in the outdoors!

We are committed to keep the sense of adventure and excitement in outdoor and adventurous activities. This ensures students get the enjoyment, fantastic moments and personal gain from experiencing the real activity in its true environment. Based at spectacular locations on the Pembrokeshire coast we kayak on the sea, not a pond or lake, and this is made possible by effective risk-assessment, a wealth of experience and a highly qualified, experienced team of staff.
