Here is the wonderful view from the Preseli Venture eco lodge and Adventure centre – Lovely!

The adventure centre is located one mile outside the village of Mathry, and near to the coastal town of Fishguard on the north Pembrokeshire coast.

This view looks north-west down the National Trust wooded valley to Abermawr, and the north Pembrokeshire coast, and out towards Pwll Deri and the Strumble Head peninsular.

You should find this Abermawr cam useful if you are about to head out to play on the sea and you want to check out the sea conditions. To the trained eye, you can also glean information on what the swell and therefore the surf is up to!

Use this real life, real time, sea state information and combine it with all the current information from our Preseli Venture weather station ; this tells you the actual details of what the weather is up to in north Pembrokeshire as well as containing the weather forecast and swell report.

The beach at Abermawr features prominently on our adventure weekends and mid-week holidays as it’s our local beach just one mile away, where you find yourself after wandering down the valley and through the bluebell woods from the eco lodge accommodation .

Abermawr is perfect for an evening stroll, a frolic on the beach, some beach games, snorkelling and a safe spot for family swimming! There is even a friendly local seal that pops up from time to time!

On the self-guided coastal walks ,that feature as part of a weekend or adventure break ,  Abermawr beach is where the coast path walk finishes and you head up the valley and back to the adventure centre for a well deserved cup of tea or hot chocolate and some home-made flapjacks!

As a part of the self-guided eco walking holiday you stay at the eco lodge and Abermawr beach is where you finish the coast path walk on two of the 5 days of walking; from Goodwick (day 3) and from Abereiddy (day 4).

The staff team at Preseli Venture are proud to act as custodians of their lovely local beach and have teamed up with the Marine Conservation Society (MCS) and their beach watch programme to carry out quarterly beach cleans of Abermawr and Aberbach beaches.

If you would like to join us on our quarterly beach cleans you can see the event time and date. on the MCS webpages – it would be lovely to see you down on the beach – come help us keep it spangly clean!
