On our fitness adventure holiday we provide the perfect blend of fun and hard work focusing on well-being for the body, mind and spirit. You take part in our exhilarating adventures right here on the awesome Pembrokeshire coastline, combined with our varied workouts in the wild and fitness focused workshops, so you won’t have time to think about the hard work your body is doing. Learn to truely relax and deal with stress on our Inner Well-being workshops. You will reap the rewards of improved fitness and stamina, increased strength and flexibility, improved well being from immersion in nature, and the healthy glow of 5 days of breathing deep the fresh Atlantic air. Our cosy eco lodge is the perfect place to kick back and relax at the end of an exciting day of fitness boosting adventures. Enjoy the beautiful sunsets from our lodge patio as you laugh about the days exploits with your fellow adventurers, and treat yourself to a glass of wine around a blazing bonfire in our sheltered garden sharing the wonderful west Wales view of the stary night sky – no light pollution here!

On our fitness adventure holiday you will take part in…

Coasteering –  A whole body workout involving a coastal adventure of climbing, swimming, scrambling and jumping your way along the rocky coastline.

Sea Kayaking – A great activity for the abs and arms, and upper body strengthening. You will enjoy a fantastic adventure exploring out along the coast, as you learn new skills whilst challenging your cardiovascular fitness and working your upper body and core.

Surfing – A fun and exhilarating adventure at one of our beautiful unspoilt beaches.  Surfing is a fantastic whole body workout challenging your balance, agility and fitness.

Trail running – take in the awe inspiring views from the North Pembrokeshire coastal path, a welcome change from beating the city streets!

Mindfulness Workshops   You can take part in two workshops with your well-being coach: the first will focus on relaxation and stress management techniques and the second will address life goals and how to get a clear path ahead.

Sea Swim and aqua fit – We usually run the one mile down to our local beach, enjoy a lovely sea swim at our own level, do some aqua fit exercises with the fitness instructors and walk or run back. What a refeshing way to start the day in this beautiful part of the world.

Woodland Run to Beach – An exciting wild and natural environment for your morning run, the ideal 3 – 5 mile circuit from the ecolodge: run down to the beach and then up to Mathry village taking in woods, beach, quiet lanes and tracks,  before heading back for a healthy, hearty breakfast. Perfect!

Stretching and flexibility workshop – A one hour workshop dedicated to stretching out the whole body and feeling the benefits of a fully relaxed and focused stretching regime, ideally on the beach at sunset lovely!

High Intensity Interval training workshop – Enjoy a workshop where we work those muscles, right throughout the body, so by the end of the week you feel stronger and more powerful.

Circuit Training  – energise yourself and work your body, you’ll reap the rewards!

Dance fitness classso much fun to pumping music you won’t even realize you’re having a big cardiovascular workout session! The perfect fun way to get fit and warm up before the day ahead.

Full body Massage and SpaEnjoy a wonderful massage and the delights of soaking in a Jacuzzi, steam room and sauna at our nearby Ivybridge spa just 10 minutes away in our local town of Goodwick.

With this variety of activities and adventures you will be working every muscle group and gaining strength and fitness whilst gathering a plethora of fabulous pictures and memories from your adventure experiences in the beautiful Pembrokeshire National Park.

After each adventure you will return to the lodge feeling fresh, invigorated and ready to refuel with our delicious, healthy home cooked meals prepared by our in house chef.

What happens on the holiday?

We have designed an action packed program with plenty of variety to work the whole body whilst having plenty of fun. Nothing is compulsory and since you are on holiday you are very welcome to take up the optional morning lie in.

Monday

Arrive in time for a lovely home cooked lunch at the lodge followed by introductions and discussion of individual aims for the week. Then we jump straight in with an afternoon of coasteering! After an evening meal you will meet with your fitness instructor and discuss the details of the programme for the week, what you would like to achieve during the holiday eg general weight loss, aerobic fitness, strength training and also a discussion on benefits of each activity we provide. A woodland run to our lovely local beach will round off the first day nicely.

Tuesday

Today we get moving with an early morning run to the beach followed by a healthy breakfast and a morning of sea kayaking. After lunch you can enjoy the ‘Stress Buster Toolkit’ workshop with the Mindfulness coach. After this let’s get active with a full-body workout for an afternoon of circuit training led by our fitness instructors. A well earnt evening meal will be followed by a trip to our local beach for a revitalizing sea swim and aqua fit workout.

Wednesday

For a fun and light-hearted start to the day we will be running a Dance fitness class which will work on your aerobic fitness and agility. After breakfast we will head off to another nearby beach for an awesome surfing adventure – watch out, it’s addictive! Refuel with a good hot lunch at the eco lodge and then it will be time for a self-guided trail run or vigorous walk along the beautiful North Pembrokeshire coastal path. To wrap up the day we will have an evening with High Intensity Interval training workshop.

Thursday

After some full on fitness adventure days we have a treat in store! Thursday starts with a lovely sea swim at our secluded local beach and after a tasty breakfast at the lodge you will be off for another awesome coasteering adventure. This full body workout earns you a more gentle afternoon starting with a Well -Being workshop ‘Wishes to Goals’. Then you are welcome to head off and enjoy our local spa and a full body massage. But if the thrill of adventure is still calling you are welcome to opt in for an afternoon activity instead.

As the week draws to an end you will have an evening to relax at the bar and de-brief with your fitness instructor.

Friday

One last morning run to take in the beautiful rural surroundings and breath deep the fresh Atlantic air. After breakfast join us for a stretching and flexibility workshop to work out any last aches and limber up for a mornings surf lesson. After a hot lunch at the lodge it will be time to wave you off.

How fit do I need to be to come along?

Everyone is welcome on our wild fitness holiday. It’s perfect for those looking to get in shape, improve their fitness and stamina, or just enjoy an invigorating healthy holiday while experiencing exciting new challenges. If you enjoy keeping fit and want to mix up your daily routine we have created a holiday which will allow you to continue your fitness whilst having a fun break away. It’s a great opportunity to get re-inspired and perhaps re-boot a fitness routine that has become neglected over the winter months.

Our aim is to work on the whole body so you leave Pembrokeshire feeling refreshed and re-charged, inside and out.

We provide a programme chock full of fitness and adventure but since all the adventures and workshops are not compulsory you can feel free to tailor the holiday according to your own wishes and stamina.

Sample menu

Breakfast

Granola, choice of cereals, yogurt, wholemeal toast and honey, scrambled eggs, fruit salad, fruit juices

Lunch

Welsh Cawl, (chunky vegetable and lentil soup) with Welsh cheddar cheese and fresh warm bread. Fruit bowl and home-made fruity flapjacks.

Evening meal

Moroccan chicken tagine and cous cous, followed by home-made fruit parfaits 

How much will this event cost me?

£595 to include

  • Four nights five star eco lodge accommodation
  • Yummy home cooked healthy food from Monday lunch to Friday lunch
  • Five half day guided adventure sessions, self-guided coastal hike/run, fitness focused workshops, well-being workshops, with activities every early morning and evening, and all specialist equipment (including winter wetsuits ALL year round, and wetsuit socks to keep you toasty warm)
  • Friendly and qualified outdoor instructors and fitness and well-being coaches
  • PSV qualified drivers and minibus transport for the activities
  •  Train station transfers for certain trains.

 The use of the local spa and massage treatments are an optional extra cost with packages priced from £25 – £55 per person.
