Stag and Hen Adventure Weekends

If you're looking for an action-packed weekend or mid week event that will be talked about for years to come, if you want scenes more photogenic than the wedding, if you've 'been there, done that' with pampering weekends, cliched booze cruises, white-water rafting and bungee jumping, and you think it's a good idea to do something healthier than just tip 15 pints of beer down the toilet... read on!

You will have your own Preseli Venture Event Manager for the duration, who will make sure your chosen adventures, ideal accommodation at the Preseli Venture Eco -Lodge, good food and a spectacular environment merge seamlessly into a weekend your friends will talk about forever.

For a little extra cost you can also include a trip in a high-performance RIB boat through tidal rapids and around offshore islands, or a stunning horseride on a deserted beach.

What happens on the weekend?

SAMPLE WEEKEND PROGRAM - for groups of up to 12. For larger groups please contact the PV office for activity options.

Friday night: Arrival at Preseli Venture in time to catch a beautiful sunset on the lodge patio, drink in hand! Follow this with home cooked and wholesome dinner at Preseli Venture Lodge, and settle into an evening of relaxation. The bar will be open 'til late!

Saturday:  Choose 2 activities from:

COASTEERING
A real wake-up call - the best natural hangover cure known to humankind.  Climb, swim and jump into a whole new world with more thrills than white water rafting or canyoning. Sea caves, tunnels and swirling ocean swells combine to produce a truly wild environment. Watch out - it's addictive!

SEA KAYAKING
Rocks, caves, birds, waves, surf, beaches, harbours and much more make this a real sea kayakers paradise. Surf between rocks, paddle below towering cliffs and say 'hi' to the seals.

SURFING
The art and science of riding ocean swells on the trembling surf of the Atlantic Ocean. With a little help from our experiences instructors you'll be up on your board in no time.

Saturday night: Delicious dinner here, and then you can round off your evening meal with drinks at the Preseli Venture Lodge bar; with pool table and awesome music system, or a visit to our friendly local village pub. Or maybe you'd like a moonlit walk through the woods and a frolic on our quiet secluded beach, or beers around a blazing bonfire in our sheltered garden. Whatever you choose, after a hard day out enjoying yourself with mother nature, your body will have no option other than the "sleep of the deep".

Sunday: One more activity... we recommend:

HIKING on the famous Pembrokeshire Coast path. Unwind amongst dramatic scenery, walk cliff top trails, and chill out amongst the wild flowers - the perfect end to a weekend of endorphin blasting adventure.  Alternatively you could try an exhilarating jet boat ride round Ramsey - a local offshore island...or you might just want to take it easy at the lodge this morning!

Whatever you decide to do, you'll come back to the Lodge for lunch, a quick look at the papers, showers and pack-up. Depart Sunday afternoon.

Where will I stay?

Your home for the weekend will be the comfy Preseli Venture eco-lodge, tucked away in a valley, boasting a well stocked private licensed bar, wood burning stoves, bonfire site, and just a 10 minute walk away from our local beach - perfect for moonlit frolics!  

Our lodge accommodates 38 people every weekend, so unless you're in a position to fill the lodge with your party, please be sure that you and your friends are happy to share the facilities with our other guests.

Do you offer group rates?

If you are organizing a big group, discounts are available.  Let us take away the hassle factor by coordinating your entire booking, just call or e mail for details of how we can help. We are also happy to tailor make an event to suit your individual needs, interests and pockets, just let us know what lights your fire and we’ll put together a personalised adventure programme - just for you.

How much will a weekend cost?

Hen or Stag Adrenalin Cocktail Break 2009

Jan-March £199, April-May £209, June-Sep £219, Oct-Dec £209, Bank Holiday weekends £219 (£259 for 3 nights)

Includes:

• 2 nights comfy 5 star eco lodge accommodation,
• yummy home cooked food Friday dinner to Sunday lunch,
• dedicated event manager for the duration of your event,
• 2 half day adventure sessions and a half day hike,
• all specialist equipment (including winter wetsuits ALL year round, and wetsuit socks to keep you toasty warm!),
• friendly and qualified instructors,
• PSV qualified drivers and transport for all activities,
• train station transfers for certain trains.

We can also organise variations on this theme to suit your own individual needs, interest and pockets.   Dedicated adrenalin junkies may choose to 'up the pace' by opting into an additional adventure activity instead of the hike for an extra £49.
