On our fitness adventure weekend we provide the perfect blend of fun and hard work. You take part in our exhilarating adventures right here on the awesome Pembrokeshire coastline, combined with our varied workouts in the wild and fitness focused workshops – you won’t have time to think about the hard work your body is doing! You will reap the rewards of improved fitness and stamina, increased strength and flexibility, improved well being from immersion in nature, and the healthy glow of 2 days of breathing deep the fresh Atlantic air. Enjoy healthy, tasty ‘Real Food’ freshly prepared by our lodge chef and experience THE best nights sleep you’ve ever had – we call it the “sleep of the deep”.

Our cosy eco lodge is the perfect place to kick back and relax at the end of an exciting day of fitness boosting adventures! Enjoy the beautiful sunsets from our lodge patio as you laugh about the days exploits with your fellow adventurers, and treat yourself to a glass of wine around a blazing bonfire in our sheltered garden sharing the wonderful west Wales view of the stary night sky – no light pollution here!

This is an environment in which you can escape the stresses and distractions of everyday life and lose yourself in nature whilst working your whole body with our range of exciting adventures and workshops.

On our fitness adventure weekend you will take part in…

Sea Swimming and aqua fit – We usually run the one mile down to our local beach, enjoy a lovely sea swim at our own level, do some aqua fit exercises with the fitness instructors and run or walk back. What a refreshing way to start the day in this beautiful part of the world!

Coasteering –  A whole body workout involving a coastal adventure of climbing, swimming, scrambling and jumping your way along the rocky coastline.

Surfing – A fun and exhilarating adventure at one of our beautiful unspoilt beaches.  Surfing is a fantastic whole body workout challenging your balance, agility and fitness.

Dance Fitness class – So much fun to pumping music you won’t even realize you’re having a big cardiovascular workout session! The perfect fun way to get fit and warm up before the day ahead.

Run to local beach – Explore your new environment with an energizing 1 mile run to our local beach through a National Trust wooded valley and back up to the lodge.

Trail running – take in the awe inspiring views from the North Pembrokeshire coastal path, a welcome change from beating the city streets!

Stretching and flexibility workshop – A one hour workshop dedicated to stretching out the whole body and feeling the benefits of a fully relaxed body from a focused stretching regime.

Full body Massage  Enjoy a wonderful massage with a qualified masseuse. This is an optional extra that can be included over the weekend.

With this variety of activities and adventures you will be working every muscle group and gaining strength and fitness whilst gathering a plethora of fabulous pictures and memories from your adventure experiences in the beautiful Pembrokeshire National Park.

After each adventure you will return to the lodge feeling fresh, invigorated and ready to refuel with our delicious, healthy home cooked meals.

What happens on this weekend break?

We have designed an action packed program with plenty of variety, so we can work the whole body whilst having plenty of fun. Nothing is compulsory and you are very welcome to adapt the weekend program according to your own needs. 

Friday

If you can, arrive for 5.00pm and straight out for a local run to the beach.

Or… join us a little later in time for a welcoming evening meal at 7.30pm

After settling into the lodge we will meet for introductions to your fitness instructor and look at each individual’s aims for the 2 days. We will carry out an assessment and understand the benefits of each activity we suggest for the weekend. We will discuss any adjustments to the program taking into account the weather and sea conditions as well as people’s aims and objectives for the 2 days.

Saturday

Start with a morning run and sea swim/aqua fit then back to the lodge for healthy breakfast. At 9.00am we go off for an awesome Coasteering adventure at one of our nearby fantastic wilderness locations on the coast. After a healthy lunch, it’s time for a Pembrokeshire Coast Path run or “power walk” along the coastal trail to our local beach at Abermawr, and then back to the ecolodge. We will include high intensity training sessions  as we make our way along the coast, stopping at a beautiful cove for circuits or a lovely cliff-top field for stretching out. You can take things at your own pace and go for a longer or shorter distance depending on your own needs, so this is fully flexible. 

Enjoy a healthy and hearty well-earned evening meal upon your return.

Sunday

For the morning we suggest a lively Dance Fitness workshop. After breakfast we will head off for an exhilarating Surfing adventure at one of our beautiful surfing beaches. What a fantastic and fun way to enjoy a great workout! Over lunch we will debrief and provide a training plan for continued fitness improvement.

Breakfast

Granola, choice of cereals, yogurt, wholemeal toast and honey, scrambled eggs, fruit salad, fruit juices.

Lunch

Welsh Cawl, (chunky vegetable and lentil soup) with Welsh cheddar cheese and fresh warm bread. Fruit bowl and home-made fruity flapjacks.

Evening meal

Moroccan chicken tagine and cous cous, followed by home-made fruit parfaits.

How fit do I need to be to come along?

Everyone is welcome on our wild fitness holiday. It’s perfect for those looking to get in shape, improve their fitness and stamina, or just enjoy an invigorating healthy holiday while experiencing exciting new challenges. If you enjoy keeping fit and want to mix up your daily routine we have created a weekend break which will allow you to continue your fitness whilst having an energising and fun get-away. It’s a great opportunity to get re-inspired and perhaps re-boot a fitness routine that has become neglected over recent months and even years!

We provide a program chock full of fitness, fresh air and adventure, but since all the adventures and workshops are not compulsory you can feel free to tailor the holiday according to your own wishes and stamina.

How much will this event cost me?

£275 to include

  • Two nights five star eco lodge accommodation,
  • Healthy and delicious home cooked food from Friday evening to lunch on Sunday,
  • Two half day guided adventure sessions, guided coastal hike / run, fitness focused workshops and activities every morning, and all specialist equipment (including winter wetsuits ALL year round, and wetsuit socks to keep you toasty warm,
  • Friendly and qualified instructors and fitness coaches
  • PSV qualified drivers and minibus transport for all activities,
  •  Train station transfers for certain trains.

We are happy to book you in for a well-earned massage. Cost is extra and priced at around £25.
